Hugo LX is a House and Hip Hop producer based in Paris and Kyoto, collaborating with labels such as Balance, R2 Records, My Love Is Underground, Faces & MCDE. His passion for japanese jazz, electronic or ambient music, lead to a radical shift in his production style, claiming a special spot in the very active Parisian house scene, subsequently granting Hugo LX occasions to play his soulful, energetic and jazz-infused selections in respected venues in the French capital and in Europe. Returning Portuguese artist Jorge Caiado is a dedicated house music lover who was taught the know-how in audio signal paths and production to become a licensed sound engineer. Absorbing a range of influences from bouncy Brazilian basslines to the various homesteads of American deep house, Jorge has been developing his own take on electronic dance music. Still young, he’s already been DJing nearly ten years and currently working as a label manager assistant in Portuguese Groovement imprint. With forthcoming releases on Chicago’s Balance Recordings, Jorge is looking to cement that style with some moves of his own. Also on this excellent House Of Waxx line-up is Etienne aka Solune, returning exactly one year after his last HoW set, and who many know from his Sonic excursions in the duo Arcarsenal as well as the head of Berlin-based Bass Cadet Records.
