Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
DJ Sotofett is the Norwegian co-chief of the Sex Tags Mania imperium with a weakness for specially eclectic sets ranging between house, jungle, techno, disco and pretty much every single main and sub-style that the late 60s beat continuum has produced. We welcome DJ Sotofett back to the club, an artist continually creative in the studio, releasing a slew of tracks in the last years, collaborations as well as solo. His offshoot label Wania takes precedence tonight, bringing along fellow label artist Sven Rieger aka SVN. You may know SVN from his many releases on both of those labels, on his own and with Acido boss Dynamo Dreesen as Dresvn. AU is a duo made up of SVN and DNL, whose last record came out on General Elektro, a precursor to SVN’s co-founded label Sued. Finish artist and chameleon Jori Hulkkonen is an inspired addition to the line-up: with releases in the last two decades (since 1993!) exploring 360 degrees on the musical radar, he’s been hailed as “the most underrated producer in the world”, “living legend of electronic composition” and “music’s best kept secret”. Since the mid 90’s Jori has travelled across the globe as a DJ and played hundreds of clubs and festivals from Australia to Zurich, spreading the vibe with his unique blend of house and techno, fuelled by insatiable curiosity about the music’s future and profound understanding of its past. Aside from the more traditional DJ/producer work, in the past couple of years Jori has raised some knowing eyebrows by assembling the Acid Symphony Orchestra, an experimental avantgarde techno ensemble of eleven persons, featuring ten Roland TB-303’s, performing a raw score written, conducted and mixed by Jori. In 2009 the project received an approving nod from the highest authority available in the noble form of Ralf Hütter after the Orchestra had warmed up for Kraftwerk. Upstairs in the +4Bar: Patrice Scott is one of Detroit’s top producers of deep house and techno music and a frequent guest in our home. Substance, quality, and diversity are the driving forces behind this artist who has touched the world by storm in the early stages of his career. Patrice Scott has a fascination and desire to be anything but the norm. Over the years he has focused more and more on his studio production skills and his label Sistrum, which celebrated it’s 10th anniversary in 2016. Tonight Patrice shares the decks B2B all night with Zepherin Saint, enigmatic producer, DJ and founder of a well respected label eight years in existence, championing the emergence of indigenous influence in electronic music, Saint considers himself as a musical nomad. Listed in the top ten for Afro house artists of the year and top fifteen soulful house artists respectively, Saint produces his own unique blend of afro house, referencing primary roots into a myriad of hypnotic layers; the sound is intoxicating. His music has attained the optimum position to convey his label Tribe Records’ message of One Sound, One People to the masses. Coming from an era in house music when there were no subdivisions between styles, Zepherin Saint’s productions, DJ sets and label releases reflect the same emphasis as his passion towards dance music.
