Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Brian Mitchell aka Tallmen 785’s balance of electronic music and organic instrumentation (being an accomplished guitarist with Ornette Coleman and Jochen Arbeit of Einstürzende Neubauten, among others), created a balance that led him away from blatant Techno mimicry, but rather to create his own unique sonic interpretations. Most of the elements in his tracks are made from guitar sounds that go through an extensive filtration process to realize an aesthetic that does not derive from drum machines and synths. Tallmen 785’s 20 plus years of musical training ripple through his current Techno productions and we are pleased to welcome again his very unique sound tonight on the House Of Waxx floor. Also returning: Australian artist Christian Vance’s own fusion of House and Techno music is informed and influenced by his classically trained musical background in combination with early experiences of original Mid-West electronic ideals. He has been performing his own music in a live format since the late 90s. Christian’s career highlights include being invited by Derrick May to collaborate on a remix project for the movie Tekkonkinkreet in Carl Craig’s Detroit studio. A recent project in 2016 was a collaboration with Berlin artist, Discrete Circuit, entitled Away Soundsystem, and one of the more recent 12” offerings on his own label was praised by Resident Advisor featuring a classic remix by British legend Kirk Degiorgio. Christian Vance is known on turntables internationally and we welcome him back in our home. We’re also happy about the return of frequent HoW guest Elie Eidelman: the NYC born and Israeli raised DJ has been playing for over 15 years around the globe bringing his unique blend and attitude to the dance floor and powerful Sweatlodge podcasts. While working behind the scene for his own JackOff Records, as well as for Sweat Lodge Radio and SLIM, Elie Eidelman is continually readying new productions and collaborations.
