Three artist from Madrid on José Rico‘s Downbeat label take the House of Waxx decks tonight! F-on is a Madrid DJ and producer. His progressive sessions, profound and with long mixes, are real voyages that sail through experimental music, ambient and horizontal and dubby techno. His productions are 4×4 experiments of low tempo with field recordings and marked spaces, where he explores timbres, textures and cinematographic structures. He is resident at the Alpenglühen and Taiga sessions and owner of the label Antimatter together with Bule. F-on is running the Alpenglühen label as well, and co-running Downbeat, Memories on Wax and Eleve. José Rico has earned an international reputation as a producer (and DJ) with his refined and elegant combination of downtempo rhythms with dub, incorporating influences from house, American techno and 1990s European abstract electronica. He currently runs the Downbeat and Freebeat labels, and has worked with such renowned producers as Ron Trent, Mike Huckaby, DJ F, Specter and Leonid. Besides releasing himself on several international labels and garnering excellent reviews, Jose is in love with analogue sound, his live performances of synthesised music along with other electronic instruments are technically impeccable. Vane Madrid has made herself known in the top clubs and parties of Madrid, and we welcome her turntable talents to the Globus Floor and House of Waxx tonight.
