Beschreibung zur Veranstaltung:
Tonight we are pleased to welcome back techno music icon, the “Baron of Techno” Dave Clarke. What more can one add to the olympus magnitude of Dave Clarke‘s resumé of electronic music history? With over 25 years making magic in the industry, he is one of the leaders in the international techno circus, helping to re-write the qualities of the post-punk generation through the purist of techno and electro styles among a world of fast-selling chart crossover target marketing schemes – he remains an outsider and alternative musician of the best kind. By 1992 Dave Clarke’s own label, Magnetic North, was on the rise and he suddenly found himself remixing the likes of Kevin Saunderson’s Inner City, The Chemical Brothers, New Order, Depeche Mode, Moby, Leftfield and Underworld. And then there’s White Noise, Clarke’s weekly radio show, a global institution and an indicator of where the scene is headed, more than 600 editions in and going out on over 100 FM partners worldwide. Now based in Amsterdam, Dave travels the world, playing at the biggest and most famous festivals and venues. Using Serato on a 13” Macbook Pro Retina he churns out ruthlessly effective, fat-free techno and – as in tonight’s gig – electro sets. Over the years, Dave Clarke‘s nights in our home have gained legendary status, and it is always the greatest of pleasures to welcome him back. Spanish-born, Berlin-based Alienata is a self-described sound obsessive whose sets span obscure electro, ACID, dub, IDM, dark disco, jakbeat, hypnotic techno, industrial atmospheres, Detroit, Chicago influences and crazy sounds in general. Moving to Berlin in 2011, Alienata quickly found an adoptive family in the Killekill label and associated Krake Festival. This relationship helped make her a respected mainstay in clubs in Berlin, around Germany and Europe, but her international touring schedule has been steadily increasing each year. Receiving support from the likes of Ben Sims, Dave Clarke and Stingray, Alienata decided to start her own imprint “Discos Atónicos” in 2017 where she can materialize all its varied influences. Since 2017 she hosts a monthly show called ‘Nova Express’ on the French LYL radio. We welcome back artist Lucindo who has Italo-Brazilian origins and now resides in Germany. He began to produce electronic music with long-time friends Ascion and D. Carbone, with whom he shares the record label 3TH, the platform where his productions are released. Lucindo’s DJ sets are as powerful, mental and acidic as his own productions, characterized by distorted industrial rhythms and acidic patterns, accompanied by noisy, emotional soundscapes. In Globus: Lucretio and Marieu are The Analogue Cops, founders of Restoration Records, true defenders of vinyl and the worst enemies of digital downloads; from 4 years they have been resisting in Berlin, where they had already imposed their message: techno that comes from Chicago House music, from Larry Levan´s disco, from George Clinton’s funk, from Miles Davis´s jazz; in a few words, uptempo danceable R&B music. They use only hardware analogue gear in their live shows, raw and funky in the traditional Techno style. Actually The Analogue Cops are pledged in a more dub and deep house oriented project, but always deeply influenced by their passion for American music. Bunker New York resident and Interdimensional Transmissions as well, Patrick Russell has provided some intense techno, heat-tinged podcasts for Bunker and Bunker Recordings – hang onto your heels for the return of this hot producer’s turntable magic. A true veteran of the US underground, he magically transforms the diaspora of acid, pure jack energy, and hints of IDM into a deep, fluent sonic dialog that never fails to devastate both minds and dance floor. Known as a key figure in the legendary No Way Back parties, Patrick’s ability to weave intensely unique, long-format narratives has earned him critical international acclaim. Patrick Russell is not just a name to watch, he is someone to be experienced. Returning turntablist Anna Haleta needs no introduction in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. She is running successfully her own event (Pacotek*) for 14 years which was the 1st promoter to bring in many great DJs for the 1st time to Israel. Anna is a real pioneer in the scene there and has also garnered fans in venues across Europe as well. Known for her exceptional records selection and intuitive balancing on the line between genres, Anna Haleta turns her signature style into sets of trippy sophisticated illusion. Her main tool is magic and that’s how she has witched the local scene into her religion, where house, techno and electro are the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Berlin-based ERIS are producers Dea Dvornik and Enrica Falqui. They hit the ground running with their 2018 EP “Moments” on Cabaret: creepy chords, meandering acid lines, sci-fi chords, crunchy machine drums, vintage electro, Chicago style jack, skittish electro beats, kinetic analogue bass, fizzing electronic melodies, rumbling bass, fizzing drum machine cowbells and suitably starry synthesizer melodies. Get into it!
