On the month of celebration of its 20th Anniversary the Tresor family is proud to announce a new effort from one of its long time residents, Pacou, marking an exciting new chapter for both the club and label.

Rising from the city?s early house and techno scene, the born and bred Berliner Pacou used Tresor Records as a launch pad for his productions, releasing his first EP under the moniker, Reel Techno, in 1996 and debut album, Symbolic Language, the following year. Around the same time he joined the club?s roster of DJs?a residency he still holds to this day. After a landmark year in 1998, which saw Pacou unveil his own LL Records imprint and perform throughout Europe, Australia and Japan, a torrent of records ensued on Tresor and other labels, including Mis Djax?s Djax-Up-Beats and the renowned Belgium techno stable Music Man Records.

In 2005 Pacou set up Cache Records, home to some of his most notable works to date, such as the aptly titled 10 Years On?a double track EP hailing a decade of releases with a forward-looking dubtechno A-side, recorded using digital software, and a hardware-crafted B-side retrospective of Detroit. Also his later collaboration with Detroit vanguard Mike Huckaby on Sessions, which bridged deliciously his Basic Channel affinities with Huckaby?s Motor City heritage.

This autumn Pacou returns to the Tresor Rec fold with a rounded four-track EP that traverses the don?s varied electronic styles. Connection prises open Sense in a classic pummelling Pacou fashion, transporting us back to the vaults where it all began, backed by the sinister slow-builder Transmitter. On the flip, Response dips into acid territory and is another of his purely analogue-recorded efforts. Sense concludes on a warm dubby vibe with Default ? a track originally made 10 years ago.

On the record Pacou comments:

?People often have some problems to recount their club experience in words, because many things happen on a feeling level: people get ?into it? because of a certain constellation of sound, light and physical experience. The tracks on my EP express different phases / stages of this process.?
